- We have 3 different styles of boats available for rental; Pontoons, Tritoons and Ski Boats. Our 26’ Tritoon & Ski Boat models require prior boating experience as they are high performance watercraft.
- We have watersport tow packages available on all boat styles: the Pontoons and Tritoons can pull single rider tubes and the Ski Boat can pull single or multi-rider tubes, wakeboards, skis, kneeboards, etc.
- We do NOT rent Personal Watercrafts, Jet Ski’s, Paddleboards, Kayaks, Canoes, Fishing or Jon boat styles.
- Renter must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid driver’s license on the day of the reservation.
- Renter must provide a $500 security deposit on the day of the reservation while you have possession of the watercraft for potential damage.
- Renter is responsible for any loss or damage to rental watercraft, equipment and contents.
- Credit Cards or Cash preferred, we discourage Debit transactions as your funds could be tied up longer.
- All boat rentals depart from and return to our marina on Pine Lake in La Porte, Indiana. We do not offer delivery and our boats are not permitted on any other lakes.
- Boat rentals are valid on Pine Lake only and are not allowed on Stone Lake, a small no wake lake adjacent to Pine Lake.
- We do not permit our boats to be docked at other establishments on the lake or at other marinas; there is limited commerce on Pine Lake but we are very close to a bar/restaurant on the water so you can dock the boat safely without damage at our marina and walk to the restaurant easily.
- Multi-day rentals for some watercraft are available and residential docking is permitted on a case by case basis; management approval is required to confirm that the dock is suitable and will not damage the watercraft.
- Rental boats are never permitted to be tied to another floating watercraft.
- Payment is non-refundable, payment in full due at booking. Optional add-on charges include water toys and bimini top for the Ski Boat. Your total will reflect any selected options, Indiana taxes, booking fee and 3% credit card surcharge.
- Fuel is consumption based on current market rate and captured on the day of the reservation. Minimum fuel charges apply by watercraft:
- 20’ Pontoon – $4 / hour
- 20’ Tritoon, 26’ Tritoon & Ski Boat – $6 / hour
- Holiday Rates apply throughout the season surrounding Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day weekends and are reflected in totals at time of booking the reservation.
- $50 cleaning fee will apply if watercraft is returned excessively dirty.
- Pine Lake Marina does not offer cancellations on boat rentals; bookings are non-refundable.
- If plans change you can reschedule your reservation up to 72 hours before the scheduled rental departure time, a $20 reschedule fee applies.
- No changes allowed within 72 hours of your scheduled rental departure.
- No show policy effective 30 minutes after your scheduled departure time if you fail to show or call us by phone we can release your boat to another rental party.
- Our boats go out rain or shine; bimini covers provide partial protection for light to moderate rain conditions.
- Management can authorize weather related cancellations at the time of or after the scheduled departure.
- Weather related conditions at time of reservation departure: Rainchecks may be issued by management if the weather is too dangerous at the time of the reservation departure. Rental parties must be present to receive a raincheck valid for 1 year from the reservation date.
- Weather related conditions after departure: Management reserves the right to request renters to return to the dock at any time due to weather related conditions. No rainchecks or refunds issued for early returns.
- We will reschedule your rental if you are concerned about the weather up to 72 hours before your scheduled departure date and the $20 reschedule fee applies.
- We have strict weight capacity limits on our boats that vary by watercraft. Total weight includes the smallest infant to the largest adult plus gear (coolers, boat bags, fishing gear, etc.). It is the responsibility of the rental party to honor these limits, we will not depart a watercraft over the weight limit as this is a safety concern.
- Capacity Limits for boats: 1200 lbs. or 8 people on 20’ pontoons and power ski boats, 1400 lbs. or 10 people on our 20’ tritoons and 2000 lbs. or 14 people on our 26’ high performance tritoons.
- Coolers, food and drink, beach bags, towels are allowed on our boats; total weight of gear counts toward the capacity for all boats.
- Fishing is allowed on our boats, please use gear with caution to avoid damage or excessive cleaning fees when fishing on our boats.
- No smoking or grills permitted on our rental boats, thank you for your cooperation.
- Paddleboards and kayaks ARE NOT ALLOWED on our rental boats, damage could occur.
- We discourage bringing any equipment with sharp edges on board (i.e., strollers, wagons, etc.) as they could cause damage such as tears to the upholstery of the watercraft, they are permitted at your own risk.
- We do not provide Captains for hire, you drive your own boat and can appoint a maximum of 2 Captains.
- Captains must be at least 18 years old, present a valid driver’s license and participate in orientation.
- Additional Captains can be appointed at the cost of $20 per Captain. Our 20’ models are easy to drive and do not require prior boating experience.
- Captains of our High Performance fleet (26’ Tritoons & Ski Boats) should have prior boating experience but do not require a boating license.
- Small dogs (under 15 lbs.) w/groomed claws allowed for a non-refundable fee of $80; management retains final right to allow or disallow any pet at the time of the reservation.
- Task trained service animals are allowed with the condition that the service animal’s papers are supplied at the time of your booking; this does not include emotional support animals, if under 15 lbs. with groomed claws you can pay the pet fee of $80 to have them on board.
- Our boats have Bluetooth capabilities and can play music through the Bluetooth system. We do not guarantee the music will work with your device. As with any type of electronics, malfunctions happen especially on rentals that are used over and over. There may be times when the radio or Bluetooth system does not work. We recommend bringing an auxiliary cord or speaker that works with your phone to have a back-up plan in case the system doesn’t connect to your specific device successfully.
- We are located at 908 Pine Lake Avenue in La Porte, IN 46350; this is in the Central Time Zone. Parking is available at the marina for automobiles, please do not park in boat trailer section of the lot. Check with marina staff upon arrival if unsure where to park.
- Trip Planning Tip: to avoid unexpected lane closures or construction delays please check your GPS navigation system to find the best route to our marina.
- Please use “COVID COMMON SENSE” if applicable and do not enter the marina store until you are cleared for entry. The Renter and 2 Captains may enter the marina together once cleared for check in. MASKS may be required while in the marina store. The rest of your party should remain outside and practice social distancing from other groups.
- Plan to ARRIVE 30-45 MINUTES PRIOR to your scheduled rental departure time to complete the rental paperwork, boater safety handout and operator orientation of the watercraft and Pine Lake. It is your responsibility to be on time for your reservation. No credit will be issued for the late arrival nor can we extend time to compensate.
